Philips is a renowned brand known for its innovative consumer technology solutions. With a history of over a hundred years, Philips constantly pushes the limits of technology to improve lives. From healthcare to consumer lifestyle and lighting, Philips focuses on creating products and services that enhance well-being and drive global progress. 

The Need

Tower Fan Product Videos
(Mid- April 2023 – July 2023)

In April 2023, Philips approached us for the second time, while we were already working on their mixer grinder project. This time they requested us to create 5 promotional videos for its Tower fan. They sought 4 YouTube non-skippable ads, each highlighting a distinct feature, and 1 instructional video on product setup for YouTube. The target audience for these videos was families and office staff. 

Philips stressed the importance of showcasing two key features of the tower fan: noiselessness, and easy portability & convenience. Each of the four product feature videos was to focus on a specific aspect, providing viewers with a thorough understanding of the product’s strengths and functionality. They also suggested displaying various home settings such as kitchen, living room, and similar environments in the videos.

The fifth video was intended to offer a comprehensive demonstration of how to set up the tower fan. 

The Execution Process 

In response to Philips’ requirements, we initiated the development of concepts to showcase the product features and demonstrate the set-up process of the tower fan. 

We teamed up with a production house from our pool of experts. This collaboration involved sitting down with their teams: 

  • To develop concepts and visualise the narrative, ensuring a seamless integration of their expertise into the overall vision.
  • To manage the intricacies of the entire shoot for the project in one day. From scouting locations to assembling the right crew and capturing all necessary shots for both feature and demonstration videos, our goal was to ensure a hassle-free production experience.
  • To guide the editors to weave compelling stories in tune with the brand’s needs. 

In the initial days, we engaged in extensive discussions and brainstorming sessions to develop and finalize concepts tailored to Philips’ specifications.  This involved determining the types of families to feature and devising creative ways to distinctly highlight each of the two key features.

Our ideas, like showing a baby sleeping peacefully because of the quiet tower fan or how easily it can be moved to the kitchen or the balcony, were well-received.

We were swift in our ideation processes since Philips had already provided us with specific pointers of the features to be highlighted, duration, and settings. Our main focus was on executing them to the best of our abilities. 

We received approval from Philips on the conceptual front around 1st week of May. We quickly generated the scripts and the screenplays. Our efficient workflow comprised a single-day shoot followed by post-production tasks. We successfully delivered all five videos in July.

Aside from our creative work, we took care of the logistics too. We handled contracts, agreements, and payments, making things easier for Philips. Our fast and thorough work impressed them, leading to more projects together. We’ve now done over five projects with them.
